Being overweight can negatively impact your health. Many of us struggle to lose weight on our own. Dr. Burrer can support you in your weight loss journey by providing guidance through a combination of nutritional advice, exercise plans, and medication. His non-judgmental, compassionate care will encourage you. Dr. Burrer himself lost over 50 pounds with the help of his wife and the GLP-1 class of medications.

With weight loss, patients are improving  their health by:

  • Reducing cholesterol levels
  • Lowering blood pressure
  • Controlling blood sugar levels
  • Improving mobility
  • Boosting self-esteem and confidence

In fact, weight loss can also help with existing medical issues, such as type 2 diabetes and sleep apnea.

Parents, make sure your child gets the healthcare they need. Direct Primary Care (DPC) is especially helpful for college students because it offers affordable, accessible healthcare without the barriers of traditional insurance. With a predictable monthly fee, students can access unlimited visits, same-day appointments, and direct communication with their doctor, making it easier to address health concerns quickly.

This model also supports busy student schedules, as Valor DPC offers virtual consultations and extended hours, helping students stay healthy while managing academic and personal commitments.

Valor DPC provides telehealth services across many states, making healthcare more accessible whether you’re constantly on the move or want to ensure family members outside Indiana have quality care. This means that whether you’re traveling for work, school, or leisure, or if you have loved ones living in different states, they can all benefit from the same comprehensive, personalized care that Valor DPC offers. With the convenience of virtual appointments and ongoing communication with healthcare providers, Valor DPC ensures that you can maintain your health and well-being, no matter where life takes you.

Direct Primary Care Keeps Prices Low and Affordable

Affordability and price transparency are at the core of our Carmel, IN, DPC practice. By operating outside the traditional insurance model, we eliminate unnecessary middlemen and administrative costs, allowing us to provide high-quality care at a fraction of the cost. With a simple monthly membership fee, you get unlimited access to your doctor, same-day or next-day appointments, and virtual care options without surprise bills or hidden fees. Valor DPC keeps healthcare pricing straightforward, so you always know what you’re paying for, ensuring peace of mind and consistent care without breaking the bank.

Are There Services You Don’t Cover?

While Valor DPC covers a wide range of services, such as primary care visits, preventive care, and virtual consultations, there are some services that fall outside of the membership. These typically include specialist referrals, hospitalizations, emergency room visits, surgeries, and any procedures or treatments that require specialized care beyond the scope of primary care.

Additionally, certain diagnostic tests, imaging (like MRIs or CT scans), and prescription medications might not be covered under the DPC membership, though we can help coordinate these services at discounted rates. If you have an existing condition, please contact our team to determine how our services will work for you.

Do I Still Need Insurance with Direct Primary Care?

With Direct Primary Care (DPC), like Valor DPC, your membership covers most of your primary care needs, including appointments, check-ups, and virtual care, without the need for insurance. However, it’s still a good idea to maintain insurance for services outside the scope of primary care, such as specialist visits, emergency care, surgeries, or hospitalizations. Think of DPC as your primary healthcare partner, while insurance can act as a safety net for unexpected major medical expenses. Many members pair DPC with a high-deductible insurance plan to keep costs low while ensuring they’re covered for more extensive medical needs.
