Dr. Phillip Burrer is a family physician and founder of Valor Direct Primary Care (DPC), a Carmel practice bringing personalized, patient-first primary care to his community. Dr. Burrer obtained his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his residency in Family Practice at UMass Chan Medical School.

He brings over 25 years of experience in primary care, urgent care, and telemedicine, serving patients of all ages. In addition, he is proud to be an “old-fashioned” family doctor, providing patients with both quality care and advanced medicine. He looks forward to meeting you and helping you achieve your health goals!

With a membership, you do not pay for individual visits. There are no Co-pays! You can be seen as often as you need. We believe in transparency. We’re here to eliminate the hassles of corporate healthcare by offering an alternative just a block off Main Street, right here in Carmel, IN.

To ensure we keep costs affordable while still providing exceptional services, we have not invited health insurance to be a part of this practice. Having an independent practice allows Dr. Burrer to cater to your best interests instead of the interests of a corporation or insurance company. If you need care beyond what we can provide in the office, Dr. Burrer will refer you to specialists and work with you to find the best care for the best price.

You can still use your insurance for prescriptions, imaging, and lab work. But for those patients with a high deductible insurance plan, it often makes more sense to use Valor’s discounts.
